Wed 23 May: Nikki Owen- Leading Expert in Confidence & Charisma

Activate Your Natural Charisma
and release your Rotten Apple Syndrome

 www.audiencewithcharisma.com
YouTube Channel: CharismaNikki

What you will gain from Nikki’s talk:- Why charisma removes barriers from creating the life you desire
- Five internal attributes that develop and enhance your charisma
- The Rotten Apple Syndrome and how it sabotages your effectiveness
- Techniques to switch from a survival mindset to a growth mindset
- Easy ways to ramp up the energy in yourself and others

Background
At our core, we have all the resources we need to attain whatever we want in our lives. Yet we experience disappointment, failure and set-backs. There are times in our life when we become aware that we are wearing a mask, ‘putting on a brave face’ or have erected an invisible wall around us to stop ourselves from feeling hurt. When this happens we drop back into behaviours that are not aligned with our authentic self, causing stress, depression, frustration, lack of progress and problems. In this mindset of ‘survival’ and ‘protectionism’ we are unable to grow and expand our potential for creating the life of our choosing.
Nikki Owen, UK’s Leading Expert in Confidence and Charisma, runs regular masterclasses at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre where she has developed a range of cutting-edge techniques. These have been designed to breakthrough the barriers that prevent individuals from achieving more of what they want in their life by re-connecting them to their inner charisma.

About Nikki Owen
In 1978, Nikki’s life was changed forever when she witnessed a charismatic barrister making legal history at The Old Bailey. This event inspired her to question whether charisma can be developed or whether it is the birthright of the lucky few. Following research with 2663 organisations globally, Nikki published her findings in 2008 and began sharing her blueprint for charisma at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Nikki is the creator of The Big Apple Experiment that dramatically demonstrates the impact our core beliefs, thoughts and emotions have on our ability to transform our lives. She is an official political commentator for Aljazeera Television and The Sunday Tribune and was appointed Positivity Advisor to The Expotel Group in February 2011. As a speaker, Nikki’s controversial and inspirational style earned her the award for Rising Star 2011 - 2012 from The Academy of Chief Executives.

Wednesday 25th April Meeting: 2 World Class Speakers: John Morgan & Elliot Kay About JP Morgan Jr John P Morgan helps people to better connect, inspire and grow so that they can lead more fulfilling lives. His speaking and training comes from his wide range of studies, diverse life experiences and successes in multiple businesses.
After receiving a BS in Physics, John found quick success in property investing. In his mid-twenties, he cashed out of property and left home in the USA to travel the world. During his travels over the the following years, John partnered in founding a web media company servicing global non-profits and took on a number of philanthropic projects. Today John resides in London, UK mentoring and training people around the world to lead enjoyable, extraordinary lives and to help make the world a better place. He also regularly acts as a consultant to multiple charitable organizations focused on human rights, humanitarian aid and generosity. John’s mentoring and training has been described as “real”, “intuitive”, “tough love”, “simply awesome” and comes in many forms such as methodical and results focused training, experiential tasks & exercises (often covert and challenging) and the sharing of philosophical insights for personal evolution. Beyond being a mentor and trainer, John P Morgan is a real-world practitioner. He walks the talk, lives what he preaches and has a genuine and powerful passion for helping people. About Elliot Kay, The Coach with the Hat The Coach with the Hat is a new force in performance coaching, allowing as many people as possible to empower themselves toward better lives and greater achievement. The Coach with the Hat was created by Elliot Kay, who developed the Empowering Coaching System (ECS), is himself a Peak Performance Coach, noted speaker, and author of ‘It’s Your Right to be Wrong’.
In an earlier career, against all odds and the advice of all those around him, Elliot had achieved his dream of becoming a professional dancer – recognized on the world stage and accumulating over 1000 hours in front of audiences, life was good… While performing a routine move, Elliot sustained a career ending injury and was forced to pursue a different path with his life. Using the same drive and determination, Elliot pushed himself through various occupations in an effort to find an alternative career with the same level of satisfaction: Already successful in the world of corporate training and development, it was not until a chance encounter with a friend that his eyes were opened to the world of coaching, and the positive impact that it could have on people’s lives. Elliot quickly realized that this was a path he would choose to follow. In the time since that day, Elliot has worked with a multitude of professionals and athletes alike to help them unlock their potential and overcome any obstacle on their road to success. He has worked with a professional cyclist, mentally preparing and guiding him through on of Europe’s most arduous tests of endurance, as well as leading goal setting sessions with Gold Medal Winning Olympic Rowers. As well as helping individual athletes achieve their goals, Elliot also works with business people – individually or part of a team: One recent client saw an increase in customer retention of 40% after working with him. In the past 12 months, Elliot has garnered significant attention as a result of 2 things: Placing 3rd in the ‘Britain’s Next Top Coach’ competition gave The Coach with the Hat brand national recognition. Additionally, Elliot has also published the first book under The Coach with the Hat banner: ‘It’s Your Right to be Wrong’ is a powerful, concise, snapshot of Elliot’s no holds barred philosophy and life lessons. It is Elliot’s innate ability to inspire you, and turn any challenge into an invigorating lesson and a dynamic action that has made him one of the UK’s most sought after coaches. His disarming demeanor and infectious enthusiasm allow his clients to engage with him fully and achieve their goals, and in 2011, he will take the Coach with the Hat brand all the way onto the world stage.

Wednesday 28th March Meeting: Brigitte and Rex Sumner

Speaker: Brigitte Sumner.
Each year we are blessed with a wonderful, and very generous visit from this month’s speaker. This year we have the added bonus of her husband Rex Sumner who runs a publishing and marketing company. Brigitte will be talking to us about her new work in relationships, which has always been incredibly insightful and rewarding in the past. Rex will be giving us his latest presentation on how to publish your first book!

“Relationships are an integral part of life. When your relationships don't work, your life doesn't work. Problems in relationships have a huge impact on other areas of life such as career and health.

When your relationships work, your life works. Brigitte's expertise is in Relationship Turnaround:
-relationships between couples
-relationships between parents and children
-relationships in business
Brigitte has appeared on UK and US radio, British and Dutch TV and has been quoted in a number of leading UK magazines (Cosmopolitan, GQ, Yoga magazine and Zest). She used to present her own Radio Program for Internet Radio in Holland and wrote a column for Ambition (a magazine for Executive PA's) and various local and internet publications. For two years she was the editor of the popular personal development magazine 'The Ultimate Gift'.
She was the chair of the London YES group for four years (1998-2002) and has presented courses, workshops and seminars for decades. Her speaking engagements have included presentations at The Oriana ‘The HR Forum’ for Richmond Events.

Brigitte works to create experiences for her clients and uses all of the above to achieve the results her clients are after. She works on a one to one basis or in group seminars, courses and workshops. Her courses (co-created with Andrew Wallas) include 'Creating Financial Security' and 'Balancing your Feminine and Masculine Energies', working with deep levels of the soul. These are residential courses with reviews in the Daily Mail. She uses Birth Into Being and other processes to clear stubborn and blocking patterns. Once a year, she hosts an exotic retreat on the tropical Island of Bali.

In order for more people to benefit from her simple but effective suggestions, she started to write books as well as articles. Her current three books (Give Him Back his Balls, Get your Balls Back and Teenage Relationships-the Breakthrough Guide to Untangling your Heart Strings -was in the Amazon top 3-) are available from Amazon.”

Practical Leadership by Karl Pearsall
This isn't telling you about what I've learned about leaders. This isn't telling you how to lead like me. I am asking you to take leadership in your own way, and use it as a tool for your own personal development.
Having the identity of a leader will transform your life. Within this presentation my wish for you is that you further own the leader within you for a richer life of more meaning. Your ultimate success, growth and your ability to contribute depends on your ability to lead. Afterwards, you will be inspired to take the next step again and again, applying a couple of simple ideas. It will be for some a catalyst to grasp the abundance of opportunities in life and thus receive more of what you deserve. I will share my personal experience, of huge success in the 90’s and lessons from leading The Yes Group onwards to ‘a vision of a world where everyone has access to a peer group that inspires them to grow and contribute’.
Core concepts:
Be Willing
Power of Identity
Leadership as a daily practice and your ultimate path of growth.
Leadership to me is ... - being prepared to do all the things yourself that you expect/demand of others - pushing forward to your goal in the face of obstacles and challenges - believing that everyone in your team has unique and special talents and are always capable of more
Leadership is about many things; maturity, emotional stability, state management, flexibility, utilisation, consistency, certainty, passion, compassion, vision, a love of life & of people, courage, accept graciously errors & failure with resolve, rejection with steadfastness, commitment, courage, to be able to ask for help and willing to follow.
Leaders are willing to be coached
Leaders ask great questions of themselves and others.
Practical Leadership: my goal is to inspire you to take the challenge of your leadership as your ultimate path to growth.

Jayes Vora helps people move out from states of suffering to success or happiness and to fulfilment in very short spaces of time. Typically the people he helps include those who have been suffering for a long time and with multiple and complex challenges.

That’s great news if you are in need of help J What it means for you is at the YES Group North on the 23rd November, Jayes will share with you one of the key tools he uses daily in his own personal life as a husband and parent to live a great family life and as a coach helping people of all backgrounds to move away from unwanted states and suffering and towards a more fulfilled life.

At the end of evening you will walk away with awareness of what many call a breakthrough of the 21st century in psychology made by Tony Robbins, the man who inspired the creation the YES Groups. You will realise the practical application of what you have learnt will help you in every area of your journey of life and will improve your relationships and ability to communicate with all people on the planet no matter what differences in culture, beliefs and values. You will learn how to make your contribution in life even more effective.

Teachers, coaches, therapists, trainers, employers, parents, lovers, students and people from all walks of life around the world have successfully transformed their lives and those of others around them because it’s easy to learn and apply human needs based psychology in every life situation. Knowing why people do what they do is no longer a mystery but instead profound understanding that you can use to influence for the better.
Put Wednesday 23rd November 2011in your diary and be there at YES Group North to take your peer group based learning to a new level.

“Deciding What Matters: What is success and how can we achieve it?" is Lee Jackson's motivational presentation on what successful people have in common and how we can apply those principles today. This fun, multimedia and down-to-earth presentation is a breath of fresh air. Based on solid research, mixed with a bit of Northern humour, Lee will help us to focus on the good stuff to help us enjoy and succeed in life even more.

Biog:
Lee has been speaking to audiences for over eighteen years - three years full time. He has learnt over this time what makes people tick and how we can inspire them to achieve more. Getting the best out of people has dominated his career, experience and study; and is at the core of all he does. Having spoken to people young and old in dozens of schools, prisons. businesses and youth groups, Lee brings all of his experience and research to his work, he uses success stories (and a few of his mishaps) to communicate clearly, leaving us with practical take-away action points. His visual and funny multi-media presentations are a welcome break from scripted talks and ‘death-by-powerpoint’. Where else can you learn from the Neil Armstrong, Jay Sean and Susan Boyle in one presentation?! www.leejackson.org www.howtobesickatschool.com

Wednesday 2nd Nov. Meeting with Karen Darke

Please note; room change for this event, we will be on the ground floor in the Ainley suite, Venue: Cedar Court Hotel, Junction24, M62 Huddersfield/Halifax.

When: Arrive 7pm for 7.30pm start, Wednesday 2nd November.

After a tragic climbing accident at the age of 21, Karen Darke faced the rest of her life unable to walk. Understandably that seemed an insurmountable obstacle to any future happiness and yet her story sees the conquering of summits both actual and emotional in ways that most of us cannot imagine!

Now representing the UK in the 2012 Paralympics, Karen is taking time out of her really busy training schedule to come and share her story with us.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from the realization that we all have much to be grateful for and that they really have no problems, please impress upon them that this event will be one that will be remembered forever!

In part 2 of the evening Niri Patel will be sharing one of the training techniques he has worked on with Karen, and will give everyone the opportunity to literally ‘break through’ their limiting beliefs! Nothing holds a person back more than their limiting beliefs. How useful would it be to crush them and experience a life of unlimited possibilty?
Karen has the philosophy that to have the most impact in life we should challenge our constraints, adopt a positive mindset and support each other to be the best we can be.

Karen finds much of her inspiration through outdoor adventure. She was a keen runner and mountaineer before becoming paralysed in a rock-climbing accident, and has since pursued alternative ways to access the outdoors – canoeing, sit-skiing and hand-cycling. She has hand-cycled in various corners of the world, including Central Asia and the Himalaya, the Karakoram and the length of the Japanese archipelago. Karen has co-organised expeditions sea kayaking along the coastlines of British Columbia and Alaska, skiing across the Greenland icecap, climbing the kilometre-high vertical rock-face of El Capitan, and kayaking through the fjords of Patagonia.

As a coach and facilitator, Karen runs her own business, www.inspireandimpact.com. She is also an author and speaker, and works regularly with young people, schools, businesses and other organisations. She is currently on the British Paracycling Team, training for the London 2012 Paralympics.
“What is life if it isn’t an adventure? I’m constantly amazed by what can be achieved if we set our heart and mind to it. It’s all about finding belief, confidence, motivation and commitment. And of course, friends. Then there are no limits.”
Her first book “If You Fall” is published by O-Books and can be ordered at www.karendarke.com The second, “What It Takes” is currently in progress.
‘Karen's captivating story shines a bright light on the meaning of challenge, and on the limitless capabilities of the human spirit.’

Wed 28th Sept Meeting

My thanks to anne Peat for last month's presentation and to everyone for contributing so much to create such a dynamic evening!

Please note next month's meeting will not be in Oct, but the following week on Wed 2nd November.

Talent Dynamics with Una Doyle.

“Unleash Your Talent: Discover How to Accelerate Trust & Flow in Your Life & Business!”

Understanding Talent Dynamics helps people to understand how they can accelerate Trust and Flow and thereby massively increase individual and team performance and profit.

Put Simply, Flow is the path of least resistance. When we are in Flow, productivity rises, results increase, occurrences line up, we have more fun and feel more connected to our work and organisation.
It’s a state, in which a person in an activity, is fully immersed, in a feeling of energised focus and full involvement. It is focused motivation, where the emotions are not just contained and channeled but positively energised and aligned with the task at hand.
If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious, then it’s a fairly good indicator you are out of Flow. The opposite is true when you are in Flow, you feel joy and even rapture whilst performing the task.
It takes focus to learn the basics and practice makes it second nature. Once you know how to stay in Flow you can enjoy life with ease and grace.
When experiencing Flow there can be a distortion of time. Your internal clock does not seem to match the external clock. Somehow your internal clock speeds up or slows down. During this phenomenon, people immersed in their task (in Flow) often look up at the clock thinking only a short time had passed only to find it is many hours later than they thought it was.
In the work place, Flow can be seen where an individual’s challenges and skills are equally matched, thus creating a harmonious environment.
Fortune follows Flow. Living in your Flow is living a life of good fortune. Flow is a life-long process that is rich with rewards all along the way.
Business owners and employees are able to uncover their real talent and flow – and that of others – making the enterprise, and their work, more productive, passionate, fulfilling, and competitive. Trust is built and team communication becomes constructive, which can allow a team to perform much more effectively. By harnessing the natural talent of every individual and team in the business the floodgates of prosperity open and the enterprise discovers more meaningful and profitable ways to serve its customers.
After this talk you will know:
 The 8 key strategies to sustainable and scalable productivity and profit
 The only 2 ways to create value and to then leverage that value
 How to reduce stress and increase fun!
